Event Description
Symphony by the Sea, North of Boston’s premier professional orchestra, will perform at Endicott College (with a pre-concert talk at 1:45 p.m.) to celebrate its 30th continuous year. Led by Music Director and Conductor, Donald Palma, the all-professional, 35-piece symphony orchestra performs music ranging from Baroque to Contemporary. The special concert will feature Songs of Four Worlds: Prelude to Capriccio, Op. 85 by Richard Strauss, Adagio for Strings, Opus 11 by Samuel Barber, Holberg Suite, Op. 40 by Edvard Grieg and Serenade for Strings in E Major, Opus 22 by Antonin Dvorák. This concert is possible because of a partnership between Endicott College and the Symphony designed to make professional music more accessible to Endicott students. |
